Helvetia Group in France
Given its size and the fact that it specialises in transport insurance, Helvetia France is a minor player in the French insurance market. However, thanks to its focus on transport insurance it is a leader in this segment. With a market share of around 6%, it is currently the fifth largest transport insurer in France.
Helvetia has a decentralised organisation in France which enables it to remain in close contact with its customers and partners. Around 90 people are employed countrywide.
Helvetia France mainly sells freight and liability insurance to forwarding agents via a sales network of 1,700 brokers and agents who serve industrial and commercial enterprises, importers and exporters, and transport specialists.
