Helvetia Group in Switzerland

Helvetia Switzerland operates as an all-line insurer in Switzerland and is one of the five largest insurance companies in the country, ranking fifth in the life business and eighth in non-life. With a share of more than half of total premiums, Helvetia Switzerland is the largest country market in the group.

The countrywide sales network comprises 29 general agencies and 18 main agencies as well as numerous smaller agencies employing around 650 sales force advisors and around 190 internal sales staff who together serve around 750,000 customers. Around 2,200 people are employed by Helvetia in Switzerland (country market Switzerland and Group).

For some years now, Helvetia Switzerland has also increasingly sold its insurance and pension products through alternative sales channels. The broker centre in Zurich manages around 700 brokers and agents.
Since 1999 Helvetia has been collaborating closely with the Raiffeisen banks, which allows the company to sell various products through the banking channel. In the area of employee benefits insurance, Helvetia has cooperated with the Association of Swiss Cantonal Banks for many decades. In addition, it also has a number of cooperation partners in the fields of investment management and sales.

Helvetia offers comprehensive insurance and pension services in its domestic market. Its customers include private individuals as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.

The product offer ranges from private and professional/employee benefits insurance to property and casualty insurance solutions.
