Helvetia Spain is among the 30 leading insurers in the strongly fragmented Spanish insurance market, where more than 300 insurance companies are operating.
Spanish insurance sales can be divided into two parts. While in the non-life segment the traditional sales channels (agents and brokers) still dominate overall new business with a share of just under 70%, almost 70% of new business in the life segment is generated by bank sales.
Helvetia Spain is an all-line insurer and offers a broad range of life and non-life products that are geared towards the needs of private individuals as well as small and medium-sized companies. It places great importance on a high level of service.
The company has three service centres in Pamplona, Madrid and Seville which cover the whole country. Helvetia Spain has around 550 employees. It also has an extended sales network with more than 1,600 representatives and brokers at its disposal.
