Is the insured fully fit for work or capable of gainful employment? A person is considered to have a partial incapacity for work if, at the commencement of the insurance term, he/she has to be fully or partially absent from work for health reasons, is receiving daily sickness benefits as a result of accident or illness, can no longer be fully employed as befits his/her training and skills for health reasons or is disabled within the meaning of the Federal invalidity insurance, accident insurance or military insurance schemes, and/or is drawing benefits from one or more of these institutions (please attach pension decision).

Please note: As the employee is leaving the company permanently, his or her departure must be reported using the “Termination of Employment” form.

Consequences of the suspension of work

Durante l’interruzione del lavoro non sussiste alcun rapporto di lavoro. La polizza della persona assicurata viene sospesa e la copertura assicurativa termina dopo 30 giorni dall’inizio dell’interruzione del lavoro. Tuttavia, l’avere di vecchiaia rimane presso l’istituto di previdenza e continua a fruttare interessi. Se si verifica un caso di prestazione, invece delle prestazioni regolamentari viene corrisposto l’avere di vecchiaia esistente.

In alternativa, la persona assicurata ha le seguenti opzioni per salvaguardare la copertura previdenziale:

  • affiliazione a un nuovo istituto di previdenza, a condizione che eserciti una nuova attività assoggettata alla LPP
  • prosecuzione volontaria dell’assicurazione presso l’istituto collettore
  • affiliazione a un istituto di libero passaggio
