All about art: prices, collection, commitment

Helvetia Insurance is deeply committed to supporting the arts, as can be seen from our recent increases in arts funding and the well-known art insurance, Artas.

A fascination for art: that’s what connects us to art lovers, private collectors, galleries, museums, and exhibitors. Through the merger with Nationale Suisse, Helvetia now possesses a collection of contemporary Swiss art that is among the most important of its kind and a testament to its support of artistic production in Switzerland. Also, each year we award an Emerging Artist Prize for young artists. Our broad experience and knowledge concerning the arts influences our Artas Art Insurance scheme.

A tradition of commitment to the arts: collecting Swiss art

Helvetia’s art collection, which focuses on painting, drawing and photography, comprises around 1700 works from about 400 artists.

A commitment to the future: the Helvetia Arts Prize

The Nationale Suisse Arts Prize, first awarded in 2004, is intended to support emerging young artists and to encourage new ideas and art forms. Since 2015, it has been continued under the name of the Helvetia Arts Prize.

Construction with Art: expanding the art collection

The partial remodelling of the former Nationale Suisse head office provided an opportunity to enrich the existing art collection with art interventions by Pipilotti Rist, Hans Danuser and Daniel Robert Hunziker.
