In the past, Helvetia’s funding was mostly used for restoration and conservation purposes. Now, new digitisation projects are being funded.
Helvetia supports four Swiss art museums in the digitisation of their collections. In this way, the works of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Meret Oppenheim will be preserved, and the museums will be able to showcase the works to the public in new exhibition formats. An exhibition will be held after each digitisation project.
The projects enable cultural institutions to display and exhibit their portfolios in new ways.
Helvetia promotes exhibition projects at important locations in Switzerland, e.g. in the French-speaking regions of Switzerland and in Ticino.
Helvetia sponsors the Museums-PASS-Musées for admission to 320 museums, castles and gardens in Switzerland, Germany and France. The partnership with this international non-profit organisation is part of Helvetia’s commitment to the promulgation of art.
