The protection forest project in the canton of Lucerne marks Helvetia’s tenth engagement in Switzerland. Before this, Helvetia had undertaken protection forest projects in Grisons (2011), in the Bernese Highlands (2012), Oberwallis (2012), Schwyz (2013), Jura (2013), Obwalden (2014), Glarus (2014), Toggenburg (2015), and in Freiburg (2015). Counting the saplings just planted in the canton of Lucerne, Helvetia made it possible to plant no fewer than 100,000 trees.

For this anniversary event, Helvetia Schweiz CEO Philipp Gmür informed representatives of the forest service that, as a gesture of gratitude for their steadfast commitment in the ten projects, they will receive an additional 10,000 plants from Helvetia (1,000 for each canton). Philipp Gmür also presented the anniversary protection forest certificate at this event. Each of the ten areas will receive one tree for every certificate they order.
