Digital future comes alive

Helvetia sees huge opportunities in digitisation and is currently working on a host of innovations. The Helvetia Blog followed CEO Philipp Gmür as he and 180 other managers obtained an overview of the diverse projects.

Digitisation is a major innovation driver at Helvetia. In 2016, the insurance group launched helvetia 20.20, the new strategy aimed at boosting its innovativeness. Since then, it has kicked off many leading-edge projects. During a management meeting at SRF’s television studio in Zurich, 70 developers and other project team members presented their innovations to some 180 Helvetia managers.

A CEO genuinely in the midst of things

A camera team accompanied Philipp Gmür as he visited the strategy fair. Helvetia’s Group CEO learned how video consultations, virtual flatmates, apps for car drivers and a host of other projects represent the three strategy pillars: agility, innovation and customer focus. The summary for the event: working for an insurance company has never before been so exciting.
