Simply. Speedy. Helvetia Locomotive

Weighs tons and as fast as lightning: the new Helvetia locomotive shows that there’s a different way to advertise. As of recently, it has been travelling through Switzerland with «simply. clear. helvetia.» printed on the side, spreading Helvetia’s brand promise on rails.

Have you already seen it? An 8,296 HP Helvetia advertising locomotive is now travelling through Switzerland and will be pulling intercity trains from A to B for the next two years.

A jubilant inauguration

The inauguration of the giant poster in Olten gives all of those present a nostalgic feeling. With the «Red Arrow», probably the most legendary train in SBB history, two conductors in traditional uniform collect guests from the station and take them to an old depot. Trains from the last century reinforce the feeling of having gone back in time. As the new Helvetia locomotive pulls into the depot, epic music accentuates the moment. «SBB and Helvetia are unified. Both companies are broadcasting a strong reference to Switzerland with their names alone,» says René Hohl, General Agent of Helvetia General Agency Solothurn.

Have a pleasant journey!

The locomotive has already passed the acid test from Bellinzona to Olten. Now the task is to convince the two million daily commuters in Switzerland of the quality of the service - both for SBB and for Helvetia.
