Helvetia has been awarding the Helvetia Art Prize to young artists since 2004, supporting graduates of Swiss universities in the fine arts and media arts at the start of their careers. The prize is worth 15,000 Swiss francs. The winner also gets the opportunity to present his or her work to an audience of international experts and the public at large in a solo exhibition at the LISTE – Art Fair Basel.
The Erich Walser Generations Prize is awarded to individuals who make an exemplary effort to foster understanding between the generations. Helvetia has been awarding this prize in conjunction with the World Demographic & Ageing Forum (WDA Forum) and Prof. Dr. Günter Müller-Stewens of the University of St.Gallen since 2005. The prize is worth 20,000 Swiss francs and it is awarded every three years.
The Helvetia Alpine Protection Forest Award has been awarded by the Consortium of Alpine Forestry Associations every year since 2006, in acknowledgment of exemplary projects to manage and sustain the protection forest and to maintain the balance between man and nature in the Alpine region. All the winners receive a wooden sculpture by Tyrolean artist Helmut Mayr. Helvetia has been the official exclusive partner of the Protection Forest Award since 2015.
The Young Entrepreneurs' Prize, North West Switzerland is awarded to innovative companies from the region of North West Switzerland which have been established or significantly realigned in the last five years. The prize is awarded every two years. The sponsors are the Trade Association of the City of Basel and the Junior Chamber International Basel. Helvetia and Credit Suisse are among the main sponsors. The prize was first awarded in 2008.
Private Magazine has been awarding the prize for financial journalists since 2002. It is awarded in recognition of outstanding articles dealing with issues about banking and financial questions, insurance, savings and pension funds, as well as tax and fiscal policy. The prize is worth 50,000 Swiss francs. Helvetia has been supporting the journalists' prize since 2013.
The Canton of Basel-Stadt has been awarding the Prix schappo twice a year since 2004, to people showing extraordinary voluntary commitment in their everyday lives. In addition to a public award ceremony, the prize-winners receive support in the PR work for their projects. Helvetia has been supporting schappo as a main sponsor since 2013.
The International Helvetia Amateur Final has been held since 2015 in the scope of the legendary LONGINES CSI Basel. This is the opportunity for ambitious amateur show jumpers from around the world to show their skills at a category 5* show jumping tournament. The final is worth 25,000 Swiss francs in prize money. Helvetia has been sponsoring this show-jumping event since 2015. Helvetia has also been a main sponsor of CSI Basel from the very beginning. It will be held in the St. Jakobshalle Basel for the ninth time in 2018.
