You shouldn't have to think about risks when taking your first steps towards independence. Helvetia youth insurance allows you to live life to the full without a worry.
The five building-blocks of our youth insurance can be chosen individually or combined into a single package. They are household contents, private liability, Assistance travel, legal expenses and disability insurance. Helvetia youth insurance thus offers the best possible cover for teenagers, apprentices, students and young adults.
The household contents insurance covers damages to your movables and personal household items in case of a fire or by natural forces (flooding, storm or hail), theft or a flood inside the building. The all risks supplementary cover offers protection against damage to items outside the home – e.g. luggage, sports equipment, cell phones or laptops.
Private liability insurance protects you from any financial consequences if you damage someone else’s property or injure someone. The external driver protection insures you for the use of other people’s vehicles.
The Assistance insurance covers the costs in case of cancellation or premature termination of a trip, an event (including ticket costs, for example) or a seminar, and offers assistance with travel incidents. The motor vehicle Assistance covers the costs of breakdown recovery and towing services, as well as for return and salvaging and for a replacement vehicle.
The private legal expenses insurance protects you with legal advice and takes care of the costs in the case of a legal dispute (solicitor fees, expenses for expert opinions, court and procedural costs, process and attorney’s fees, costs of any fines issued). The legal expenses insurance for motorists protects your rights as a road user.
As a student or trainee, you get very low benefits from the state disability insurance, so you are particularly affected by the consequences of earning disability. With an earning disability pension you can ensure an additional pension.
Youth insurance can be concluded for adolescents and young adults between 14 and 25 years of age. Nevertheless, the attractive youth rate applies up to the age of 28.
It makes sense to prepare a precise breakdown of your entire household contents (furnishings, household appliances, electronics, hobby, leisure, travel, sports, collections, etc.). On top of this sum insured, you can add 10% for new purchases so that you don't always have to adjust the sum insured immediately.
In the youth insurance you can choose between the following sums insured: CHF 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, 40,000, 50,000 or 60,000. If your sum insured is greater than CHF 60,000 then the household contents insurance must be concluded as the standard product.
The basic insurance for household contents and the supplementary covers of «simple theft out-and-about» and «household contents all risks» cover many risks that can occur with your device.
Be it a fall or a broken display, water damage or misuse of the device after a theft: With the youth insurance, you are insured against these risks.
You can conclude the youth insurance from your fourteenth birthday until shortly before your twenty-fifth birthday. You can conclude a policy while still living with your parents (your parents don't have to be insured with Helvetia) or once you have already moved out.
