If your dog falls ill or is involved in an accident, costs can mount up quickly. Illness and accident insurance for your dog covers the cost of operations and medical treatment. It thus protects you against the financial consequences and enables you to offer your pet the best possible medical treatment.
Helvetia provides the following benefits if your dog falls ill or has an accident:
Under the accident insurance component, Helvetia covers the costs incurred per accident up to the chosen sum insured. You can select the deductible that suits your needs. Cover for poisoning is also included. In the case of related events – for instance, if several treatments are required after an accident – the benefits apply per year. No age limit applies.
Under the health insurance component, Helvetia covers the costs incurred per illness up to the chosen sum insured. You can select the deductible that suits your needs. In the case of related events – for instance, if several visits to the vet are required for the same illness – the benefits apply per year.
You can take out the health insurance for dogs aged three months to seven years. No cover is provided for illnesses that already existed when the insurance was taken out. The insurance cover begins 30 days after conclusion of the contract.
The minimum term for the accident and health insurance is one year and the maximum term five years.
Up to two dogs can be insured per contract. If you have more than two dogs, you can simply lodge multiple applications.
