As previously communicated, Helvetia will establish a new, integrated corporate structure from 1 January 2017 with the objective of ensuring the efficient implementation of the helvetia 20.20 strategy. In the course of these developments, vacancies have emerged in the newly created Non-Life Switzerland and IT Executive Management areas. These positions will now be filled:

Since starting his professional career in 2001, the 42-year-old had been employed at Zurich Insurance Group. From 2010 to 2017, he was a member of the Zurich Switzerland Executive Board, initially assuming responsibility for the Commercial Business & Brokers area before heading up the Agents & Personal Lines Distribution area and finally the Corporate Customers business. He also held other international positions, taking on roles in the core business and as strategic assistant to the CEO Continental Europe. Adrian Kollegger graduated from the University of St.Gallen with a licentiate in business administration, specialising in the fields of risk management and insurance.
will become a member of Executive Management in the second quarter of 2017 and in his role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will take on responsibility for the IT Group division, which will take account of the increasing significance of digitisation. The 52-year-old will join Helvetia Group from Helsana Group, where he has worked since 2013 as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and a member of the Executive Board. He can look back on an international career in the field of information management spanning many years. During this time, he held various CIO functions and other IT management positions at Zurich Insurance Group and the Daimler Chrysler Group. He started his professional career as a consultant at Andersen Consulting in 1992 before working as a program manager at debis Systemhaus in Stuttgart for several years. Achim Baumstark holds a degree in IT from the University of Karlsruhe.
Ivo Furrer as a new member of the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Helvetia Holding AG will propose to the Shareholders’ Meeting of 28 April 2017 that Ivo Furrer be elected as a new member of the Board of Directors. Ivo Furrer is a Doctor of Jurisprudence and as an accomplished management figure possesses profound expertise in the Swiss and international insurance business. The 59-year-old has spent the past eight years successfully working as CEO Switzerland and as a member of the Corporate Executive Board of Swiss Life.
