From today, Pierin Vincenz is in charge of the business of the Board of Directors of Helvetia Holding AG. The former CEO of the Raiffeisen Group has been a member of the Board of Directors of the insurance group since 2000 and was elected to his new post at the Annual General Meeting in April 2015. He takes over from Doris Russi Schurter. The Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Directors took over the role following the unexpected death of the former Chairman, Erich Walser, in December 2014.
Pierin Vincenz comments as follows: "I am pleased to take up my post as Chairman of the Board of Helvetia and – with the support of the Board of Directors and CEO Stefan Loacker as well as the Executive Board – to help the company advance. Following the integration of Nationale Suisse into Helvetia, our topmost priority at the moment is to ensure the newly formed Swiss insurance group's further development and to exploit its potential." He went on to say: "I would like to thank Doris Russi Schurter on behalf of the entire Board of Directors for her great flexibility and considerable commitment over the past few months."
