Financial planning security is an important success factor for companies. This is particularly difficult in times of inflation. The premiums for occupational benefits are a relevant budget factor. Our goal is to keep them stable overall. For 2024, we will be able to reduce the premiums of our employee benefit scheme solutions by an average of 1.5%.

    Pension models

In the field of benefit plans Helvetia offers a full-insurance model with wide-ranging guarantees as well as a return-oriented semi-autonomous solution in the form of the Helvetia LOB Invest Group Foundation.

The semi-autonomous solution is based on an overall healthy foundation structure, offers potential returns as well as low risk and cost premiums. Under the full-insurance model, customers with a well-developed benefit plan and a healthy age structure in their workforce can profit from attractive risk surpluses.

This alternative offering allows us to meet every customer's requirements.

    In brief
We explain the differences between the two pension models in the video.

Interest on retirement savings in 2023 and 2024

Regardless of the investment results actually achieved, the customers and insured persons of all Helvetia group foundations receive at least the minimum interest rate set by the Federal Council.

Each year, the Federal Council sets the minimum interest rate for compulsory retirement savings in occupational benefit schemes. For 2024 the minimum interest rate increases to 1.25%.
