With the appointment of Dennis Giavina as the new Chief Technology Officer of the Switzerland market unit, Helvetia is ensuring continuity throughout the ongoing merger process. Dennis Giavina has been working for Helvetia since 2018. Most recently, as Head Core Life, he was responsible for the further development and integration of the life insurance platforms. Prior to this, as Programme Manager, he was responsible for the successful implementation of key transformation initiatives from an IT perspective.

Before joining Helvetia, Dennis Giavina worked, among other roles, as a Senior Enterprise Architect at Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and at various consulting firms. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) as well as a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Information Systems Management.

"Over the past few years, Dennis Giavina has successfully driven forward key technological transformation initiatives. He combines strategic thinking with a strong ability to execute – qualities that will be crucial to the integration and further development of our IT landscape. I am delighted that, with the appointment of Dennis Giavina, we are able to fill a key leadership position from within our own ranks. At the same time, I would like to thank Sandra Hürlimann for her commitment to our IT organisation in Switzerland during the important months since our merger. I am pleased that she will be able to contribute her experience and expertise to the Group in her new role as CTTO," says Martin Jara, CEO Switzerland at Helvetia.
