What if your e-bike suddenly gives up the ghost at the halfway point? With our Assistance insurance for e-bikes and motorized bicycles, we are on hand throughout Europe if your e-bike or moped breaks down while you are out and about. Assistance insurance for e-bikes and motorized bicycles is part of our travel insurance and can be taken out separately or in combination with other travel insurance benefits.

What if a brief moment of inattention leads to a collision with another cyclist? The shock of having had an accident will be bad enough, but doesn’t need to be compounded by a hefty bill to pay for the damage. Private liability insurance provides you with financial cover for any losses caused by yourself – whether through injury to people or damage to property. This also applies to damage you accidentally cause with your e-bike capable of speeds up to 25 km/h.

Damage caused by e-bikes capable of speeds up to 45 km/h or mopeds is not covered by private liability insurance. For e-bikes capable of speeds of 45 km/h or mopeds, you need to go to the driver and vehicle licensing office to get a yellow licence plate with a valid sticker for compulsory liability insurance.
