Are bike lanes mandatory?

If a bike lane is clearly marked, cyclists and e-bike riders are required to use it. What matters is the on-site signage: if the bike lane is physically separated from the road and explicitly marked “Bike Lane,” it is reserved exclusively for cyclists. These lanes must also be used by road cyclists. However, there are paths marked with the “Footpath” sign with the addition “Cyclists allowed” or even without any specific signage. On these paths, cyclists are not obliged to use them.
