If you take time out or are unable to work, you can extend your insurance coverage for non-occupational accidents by up to six months.
Interim accident insurance in a nutshell
If you take time out or are unable to work, your insurance coverage for non-occupational accidents ends 31 days after your entitlement to at least half your salary ceases. By taking out interim accident insurance, you can extend this insurance coverage by up to six months.
Interim accident insurance is a sensible option if:
  • you stop working and don’t start a new job right away.
  • you extend your maternity leave.
  • you plan on taking a relatively long period of unpaid leave.
  • you switch to working to less than eight hours a week.
