We are part of the Helvetia Baloise Group. Find out more.
As a leading Swiss insurance company, we are always close by. At Helvetia, we offer comprehensive advisory services on insurance, pensions, assets and owner-occupied homes. More than two million customers in Switzerland and one out of three SMEs place their trust in us.
As a Helvetia customer, you can rely on a strong partner with Swiss roots, over 160 years of experience and extensive expertise. We offer solutions for insurance, pensions, assets and owner-occupied homes – all from a single source and always close to you.
The two holding companies merged last December.
Our customers should also know that, as of 1 July 2026, the Swiss insurance companies Helvetia and Baloise have also merged:
All contractual relationships and assets of the former Baloise insurance companies were transferred to the existing Helvetia insurance companies with effect from 1 July 2026.
Regardless of whether you have taken out a contract with Helvetia or Baloise, the merger will not affect your insurance coverage or the provisions of your contract.
Your contract with Helvetia or Baloise remains valid. Starting from 1 July, all new contracts will be issued under the name Helvetia. So, if your contract term expires or if you wish to make changes to your policy, a new quote reflecting the requested change will be sent to you under the name Helvetia.
Please contact your adviser. As usual, you will receive a new quote reflecting the requested changes. If you have previously held a Baloise contract, you will receive a quote for the corresponding new Helvetia product.
As part of our new brand identity, we are also updating the logo on all our correspondence. However, the logo on your premium statement does not have any bearing on your contract. Your contract documents are authoritative.
The merger will have no effect on notice periods or terms and conditions. Your contracts will remain valid.
The merger won’t affect your current contracts.
The merger will not affect your current contracts, including Pillar 3 products.
You can still get in touch with your usual contact persons.
Nothing will change for the time being as far as your pension fund is concerned. We are working closely with the foundations’ governing bodies and the supervisory authorities to examine the implications and measures and carefully prepare the next steps. Should anything change, we will inform you in good time.
As a customer, you do not need to do anything as a result of the merger. Your details are stored with us.
